KRÜ Esports lets Dantedeu5 explore options as LATAM roster rebuild begins

Jesús "Dantedeu5" Federico Larrosa has been told he’s free to find a new home, with KRÜ Esports giving the Argentine duelist permission to look for offers ahead of the 2027 season. For the moment, he’ll remain under contract with the organization. The move continues a roster shake-up by the Latin America South side.

"I'm still under contract with KRÜ Esports, but I'm open to exploring new opportunities and listening to offers," Dantedeu5 said on X.

KRÜ's decision to grant Dantedeu5 the chance to explore new options means he joins in-game leader saadhak, who has also been given permission to seek options ahead of the upcoming cycle. It means two key players are being moved on in quick succession, which suggests the org is looking to hit the reset button going into 2027.

KRÜ (who donated $1,000 to a VALORANT fan affected by LA wildfires last year) aren’t exactly faring badly at the moment. The org currently ranks No. 2 in Latin America South, with a roster that also includes Less (Felipe de Loyola Basso), mwzera (Leonardo Serrati), and heat (Olavo Marcelo). Dantedeu5 (full name Jesús Federico Larrosa) filled the duelist role for the squad during their 2026 campaign and was a key player.

Getting rid of both their IGL and primary duelist in the same offseason window looks like a bit of a gamble but one would hope that the org already has replacements/upgrades in mind. After all, these aren't role-players on the fringes that can easily be replaced. Indeed, Saadhak and Dantedeu5 helped to define how KRÜ ran their system this year, and replacing them both at the same time means the org will likely be drastically rethinking their style of play from the ground up.

The VCT Global Contract Database confirms Dantedeu5 remains under contract, so any team looking to pick him up will need to negotiate with KRÜ first. KRÜ are open to moving him on for the right deal but it has to be on their terms.

For teams in LATAM and beyond who need a proven duelist with experience at the regional level, Dantedeu5 must be attracting some looks. His stint at KRÜ has kept him visible in a league where competition for talent is growing, and having the org's blessing to talk to clubs removes the usual friction from the process.

KRÜ's willingness to move two foundational players at the same time is also a statement about how they see the 2027 cycle. Orgs don't typically open the door for both their shot-caller and their primary fragger unless they're genuinely committed to building something new and have plans and targets already in mind that align with their vision and budget.
